In Home Support

"To Facilitate Your Independence at Home


At Care Crusaders, we recognize that independence means different things to different people. We hold a deep appreciation for the value of self-reliance and aim to provide the support necessary for you to maintain your independence. Our services are meticulously designed to cater to your unique needs, enabling you to continue doing the things you love.


Our approach revolves around the enhancement of participant independence, empowering you to reach your goals and fulfill your aspirations. Care Crusaders support workers are here to assist you with tasks that you may be unable to perform independently. This assistance may be required for a brief period to help with daily routines like showering and dressing, or it can be a consistent, long-term support system, allowing you to lead an independent life to the fullest.


Our support workers offer assistance across various areas, including:


- Personal Care: Assisting with personal grooming and hygiene.

       - Domestic Support:  Aiding with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized living space.

- Mobility Support: Enhancing your mobility and accessibility.

- Respite Care: Providing short-term relief and support to primary caregivers.

- Social & Recreational Support: Assisting you in engaging in social and recreational activities.

- Transport Support: Ensuring safe and reliable transportation to appointments and activities.

- Shopping and Meal Assistance: Helping with shopping and meal preparation.

- Overnight and 24-Hour Care: Offering round-the-clock support and care as needed.

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching

Recovery coaches will provide support to people with psychosocial disability to live a full and contributing life. People will be assisted to take more control of their lives and to better manage complex challenges of day to day living. 


Through strong and respectful relationships and skilled coaching, people will be supported to build capacity, including strengths and resilience. Recovery coaches will work collaboratively with people, their families, carers and supports to design, plan, implement and adjust a recovery plan. They will collaborate with the broader service system and will assist with the coordination of NDIS and other supports.  


Roles and responsibilities of recovery coaches include:  

Developing a recovery-enabling relationship.

Supporting participants’ engagement with the NDIS 

Coaching to increase recovery skills and personal capacity, including motivation, strengths, resilience and decision-making 

Supporting participants with their recovery planning

Collaborating with the broader system of supports. 


Recovery coaching creates a clear plan of action while using the participants current strengths to reach their desired goals. Besides helping the participant access and maintain recovery, coaches access systems and resources needed to support the recovery such as benefits and health care. Recovery coaching also helps individuals return to employment, find stable housing and transition. The client self directs their own recovery while the coach provides expertise and encouragement in supporting the necessary change and attaining the goals important to the individual.

Individual Support

 Care Crusaders offers a range of active support options on an individual basis so you can try and learn new things, make new friends and get involved in your community. As per your goals, individual support might be provided at home or in the community. These supports will provide you with help to strengthen your ability to participate in your community.

  •  Assistance with daily activity programs of your choices
  • Assistance to access the community.

Capacity building

Capacity building supports are those that help you to maintain your independence and build your skills.

Improved living arrangements

This capacity building support service will assist you to find and apply for accommodation. Whether you are sharing accommodation with someone else, or want to live independently, this support will help you to build the skills required to manage rental agreements, tenancy obligations and other accommodation-related responsibilities.

Finding and Keeping a job 

Employment is a big priority for the NDIS and the Federal Government in 2019, and there has been a lot of media in this space lately. These support services will help you with your transition to employment. If you are of school age, they will also assist with school-to-work transition.

This is a really exciting time in your life! But, it can also be a bit scary, especially if you’ve never had to apply for a job or attend an interview before. With these supports, you will receive help developing your resume and writing job applications, preparing you for a job interview, and building your work skills to assist you to do well in your job.

Improved health and wellbeing 

Activities that help you to maintain a healthy lifestyle, such as exercise physiology, personal training, dietician consultation and an exercise & nutrition plan may be funded by these supports. With these, you can learn how to stay active through exercise, how to eat healthily and how to prepare yummy meals!


Improved daily living 

Improved daily living support services provide funding for therapy (assessment or ongoing) and training to assist in the development of, or to increase skills for independence and community participation. Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, or registered nurses are the professionals most likely to provide this services. 

Finances 

These supports will assist you to manage your finances and use your money appropriately. It may include financial intermediary-setup costs, training in planning and plan management, building financial skills, organisational skills, and enhancing your ability to direct their supports and/or develop self-management capabilities. These skills will help you to manage your NDIS plan yourself, or to find someone to support you by doing it for you.


Improved learning 

Have you wanted to do some further study, or attend TAFE or University? Improved learning supports will help you to transition through school to further education. You may receive help applying for a study program or course, planning your study timetable, purchasing textbooks, or having a support working attend classes with you. Just so you know – NDIS funding will not pay for any of your school or tuition fees. 


Community Access

If you are seeking to establish or strengthen your ties within the community, we are here to provide the support you need. Our social and community participation services are designed to be adaptable and customized to your unique aspirations. By availing of these services, you can foster your self-confidence, enrich your social interactions, and elevate your overall well-being.


Our comprehensive services encompass:


1. Community Events & Activities: Engage in a variety of community events and activities tailored to your interests.

2. Social Get-Togethers & Shopping: Enjoy social gatherings and shopping outings, making the most of your community experiences.

3. Medical & Other Appointments: We assist you in attending medical appointments and other essential commitments.

4. Leisure Activities: From trips to the movies and beach outings to bowling, we make sure you can savor these experiences to the fullest.

5. Sporting & Gym Activities: Participate in sporting events and gym activities, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
